don't paint them, just use some armor all wipes and it'll make them look like new

you didn't really answer his question.
if you wanna take off the side moldings, there are clips holding them firmly into the door. yesterday(since i'm getting jdm thin), i just ripped them out of the door and, surprisingly, the clips didn't rip off.

for the sideskirts..there will be screws holding them in located underneath(90% sure about that)

yea that will work for about the first 5 hours.

you can tape them off and buy trim paint at your local hardware store and paint them while they are on your car. i did my side skirts and front lip on my del sol and it came out like new

i said armor all, it works, and if you want it to last even longer, you can mask it off and use black leather polish, it works too

To get the clips off without breaking them for sure, you need two thin paint scrapers. The paint scrapers will be pushed down between the painted surface of the door and the molding. Stick paper note cards in the spot where you will be inserting the scraper to protect your paint. feel around until you find a clip, and push downward onto it and gently pull the molding until it starts to come out (this releases the upper tab on the clip). Then insert the second scraper w/ note card from below & push upward on the same clip (this releases the bottom tab on the clip) until the molding comes free of the door. Now move onto the next clip...

There is about 5 clips on each door panel, and two on each fender/quater panel....

It's "blue" 3m painters tape (each color is different stickiness). You buy it in the "paint" section at wal-mart k-mart or any other cheapo store that sells paint. The stuff is really great because it's relatively low tac, but still seals well leaving good lines on smooth surfaces...
