Intake noise with aftermarket intake
I'm not talking about the sound you get with an aftermarket intake when you floor the car, I'm talking about the valve train noise you hear on idle. It seems that metal/alum intakes tend to maximize the noise that would be muffled by a stock intake tract. Am I crazy or has anyone noticed that?!?

Yeah, I have never heard more valvetrain noise after installing an intake???

Hmm... then I must really be crazy... I bet those sounds are coming from inside of my head
Seriously, I've seen 2 other cars do the same thing (a GM and a d15 Honda).
Or maybe I should check for a valve train problem...
Anybody else seen (heard) this?
Thanks for the previous replies.
