axle question

which axle turns the wheels?
in other words moves the car
the tranny side one or the drivers side one?

i know both make them move but which one actually turns
cus i know both don't turn at once its not lsd
which one actually turns by itself before the other one turns

If you jack your car up and put it in first, your drivers side tire will turn and your passanger will not.

thanks for your help guys i found my problem
the passenger axle was broken thats why my car wouldn't move when
i put it in gear i broke both axles at battle of the imports and thought it was just one
