Default Gonna buy a 92-93 ls and have lots of cash too spend!!

Well basically what the topic says,im selling both my cars and will have around 10k or so.Im gonna pick up a 92-93 teg ls for about 2k.Im gonna have 8k left over. All though im not spending that on it,i was considering maybe 3k-4k.I was wondering if anyone is running a good turbo set up on these?I know the ls is the best engine too boost, but with 115k miles is it that good of a idea?Engine is running strong, also how hard is it too turbo those 92-93 tegs?I heard that you have too remove ac,anything else? And anyone on these forums have pics? Thanks!

You can put together a good custom turbo setup with good engine management for somewhere around $2500, or less, fully tuned. I think you should go this route and also tear into the motor just a bit and refresh it if it needs it. I wouldn't spend any more money than that. I'd save a make a good down payment on a house or something.

do a compression check before you turbo that teg.. drag, revhard, and I think sfp turbo manifold you can still keep your a/c..

I think you should get the car, do a lot of research, and then put together a custom kit that will run well. Almost all of the "Off the shelf" turbo kits don't use proper engine management. The only way to build a reliable turbo setup is with proper tuning. The only way to properly tune a turbo setup is with good engine managment. You see what I'm getting at? Yes, you could hit 14's, probably 13's, and if you're crazy: 12's with a good LS turbo setup.

Ya i understand and i do know how too do a custom kit,but i believe for what my standard psi 7 that the stock fmu is decent enough. When i get more money after i like the car i will rebuild the whole engine with a complete turbo overhaul, and use hondata.

Whatever you think, but I still have to recommend against just an FMU. Better to do it right the first time.

turboing a 90-93 is basically the same as doing it to a 94-01 ls - the motors are basically the same besides 10hp from 90-91 to 92-01, and a block change in 94. so yea...

if you are wonderin, here are the differences between the years of the g2s -
90 - no emblems, clear tails, rear "integra" sticker, square bumper blinkers.
91 - "A" emblems front and rear, Square bumper blinkers, Clear tails,
92 - Emblems, "integra" emblem, orange plastic in the tails , teardrip front blinkers
93 - i dunno between 92-93, any info???

Im going to have to say turboing the g2 is harder than a g3, for one the space is limited in the engine bay, things are very crammed due to the a/c, so most g2 turbo owners are running no a/c. Tony1 had a turbo g2 few years back, he was creative and was able to keep a/c, but like i said most don't.
Also last time I checked there wasn't anyone that made a prefabbed kit for the g2. It may have changed but you may want to check on that. I saw you said you saw a Revhard for $2600, so you may have already done that.

Most g2 owners go custom for these reasons but most also go custom due to fuel manegement. If spending too much $ is an issue I would look into using Uberdata instead of the Fmu, it's free and similar to hondata. It requires learning and tuning, but theres plenty of info in the FI forum if your interested in that. Theres also the Afc hack, although anythign with hack in the title scares me I have no personal exerience with the hack, or uberdate but they are cheap alternatives tothe Fmu. I just hate the high fuel pressures fromthe fmu, stupid inline pump, ect... We call it the blue disc of death
