sorry B series needs 1-1.5 inches cut out to even fit the ef chassis. And that is the SiR EF9 linkages, the DA is even longer uncut. I had to cut and weld my own SiR linkages to fit my 89 hatch swap. the US linkages EF anyway were shorter than the B series before being cut and welded, the actual shift rod was same length after being cut to work, but the d series has the wrong anchor mount and the rods are reversed too. I catually could fit the D shift rod to the B16 tranny before I took it out to put the reworked SiR **** linkages in. because the anchors are totally different

ok the easiest way to tell dseries from b series is at the ends that bolt up to the tranny on the d series and b series there is one end of the bar that looks exactly the same thats the part that has a pin going through it that phisacally shifts gears....now the other bar or the bar that holds them to the tranny so you can get leverage to shift on the d series its small and plugs into a bracket and then you can pt a bolt through it on the b series there is a big circle about the size of a an energy drink can that slides over this nub coming off the tranny and there is two plates the same size that hold it on....................the easiest way to tell is if you have either a d series tranny or a bseries tranny thats easy to get to try them both and see only one will work on a d series tranny and only one will work on a b series.......
