Stress Fractures on Rotors!!!
Don't worry, mine have had the same for the last 4 track days. Glen K. (Gansan on this board) ran his like this for a years worth of track days. Make sure to have a set of spare pads and rotors at the track with you just in case.
One of my rotors is wearing down unevenly, I can see a 1 mm concentric line going around. If you take your fingernail you can really feel the edge of it. Should I just screw it and let it keep wearing down that way? Or get the rotors cut? If I do get the rotors cut, will I have to change the brake pad? Hmm.. Maybe warantee will cover this one???
I would never have the rotors turned (cut), unless they are warped and you cannot afford to replace them with a new set.
As for the uneven wear, its normal. When it begins to affect pad life and or the pads just wear down, I would replace both the pads and rotors.

So in summary, a few fine cracks are ok--just keep an eye on them and inspect the rotor after every run. When they get too numerous, then replace the rotor. Don't machine it. And always carry spares.

thanks for the info.......
some guy told me that the rotors may disintegrate or explode??? is that BS or what?
so basically stress fractures on rotors are unavoidable if you always track your car??

Unless you have massive amounts of air supplied to the rotors... they will develop stress cracks. Just keep extras on hand.

Happy lapping days.

the rotors wont explode or disintegrate. Some people like to scare other people just for the fun of it or scare them into buying a part they really don't need. If you track your car, you'll have to deal with keeping a closer eye on your car. If you're really hard on brakes, it's not unordinary to replace rotors and pads and bleed fluid heavily for street driving. If I were you, I'd just replace those rotors and keep them as spare ones if you drive your car daily. I'm just the paranoid type.
haha yup i thought it was BS.....!
hmm i might give these rotors 1 last beating then i'll replace them.
thank goodness its 2 piece, instead of costing me $1000 it'll only cost me a fraction to replace the rotors only and not the hats.
