My engine has been misfiring slightly over 7k rpms so I decided to change the plugs. When I removed the plugs they were very dark with alot of carbon build up. I couldn't get the NGK's so I had to settle with the Denso's. Here are my questions.
1. Are the Denso's crap, or are they ok if I plan to change the plugs frequently?
2. Are the plugs being dark at only 23,000mi ok?
By the way the misfiring has stopped so I'm satisfied for now.

you can check your plugs to this to see if the only porblem was the carbon build up
