What do you use on your 17's ? 205, 215, 225 ?
I am putting on tires on my new 17's, what do you other teg drivers use on your 17's ? 205/40's, 205/45's, 215/40's, 215/45's others ?
I am prolly going to go with 205/40's to avoid any rubbing or exess heat buildup...
Any comments ?

What width is your 17's? My 17's were 7" in width. The 205's seemed like they barely covered the wheel. For example, set the wheel on its side on the floor, the wheel touches the ground, not the rubber of the tire. If i was keeping the 17's, I'd probably be putting 215's on next - plus more tire to the pavement is always a good thing for auto-x and such. If I had 7.5" width wheels, I'd go 225 on the tire. BTW: i'm selling my 17's because they're considerably heavier than my stock 15" GSR wheels, which FYI just happen to be 6" in width and I have 205's on them. (they bulge only slightly.)

My local rim shop highly recommended 205/40's to avoid rubbing.... said that 215's aren't really good for smaller imports like tegs....
My rims are 17x7

why arnt they good seems to me like the best contact patch would be the best (I dont like nitto tires just making that clear if ne one catched that)
I like the size of my 205/40, they tuck pefectley, and I have never rubed at all, Im lowered almost 2 3/4".

215 would of course give better traction and grip....
