Default durability of mugen twin loop?

just picked up a mugen twin loop catback. put it on, sounds kinda boomy, specially when i get on the gas. a friend of mine said mugens tend to get louder as they get older. does this mean the sound insulation absorbtion packing stuff inside the muffler is shot?

i have a choice between getting the 4 door axelback or the 2 door catback. i noticed the 2 door has the bigger cannister muffler. has anybody noticed a difference in tone between the two? i'm assuming the bigger the muffler, the deeper the tone

Can an old, worn out twin loop be repaired?

Mine seems to have gotten louder too. I thought it was just my imagination.

I think mine still needs some more break in. It still sounds the same as the day I bought it.

now i am running T1R test pipe and b-pipe so i am sure my setup is louder than all of you guys but i still love it.
it's only loud when i give it a gas not when i am cruising...
