What is JASMA exactly>japanese automotive sport muffler association


Is it the same company or built by mugen or what? i often see it in comparison with mugen parts, so it is the same or does anyone know?

JASMA, is similar to "carb legal", but for japan...its for emissions
Stands for Japanese Sports Muffler Manucturers Association, and can also be taken as a quality standard

so then it doesnt really have any performance gains other than being a stock muffler from japan...ghey.

Youre misunderstanding....
It doesnt have to be stock...its saying its legal in japan, whatever the brand is, and meets a certain criteria.

Its like our US parts that have CARB stickers.

the muffler in question that im curious about says RS racing sport, and has the jasma badge on it. Do you think that i will have any better performance than the stock usdm one?

it's a freaking muffler. only thing you'll notice is the change in sound.

well, i already have a header and piping, i just dont want to be worse off than stock if you know what i mean.

if its a straight through muffler, it will flow better than stock
if the piping is larger, even if its oem style inner construction, it will flow better than stock
