Default Cam Gear

Would a cam gear help a SOHC F22a6 with horsepower or torque all that much? If so how much? My buddy has em but he has an h22 accord so I was wondering if it helps a SOHC as much as a DOHC or is my thinking off?

Thanks

Well DOHC is going to get a little more power out of it due to it has dual cams. I would say save your money and save for either turbo or building f22 or swap it. SOHC with i/h/e and cam gears is at most 5-15 more hp and 10-15tq, and look at the money spent, I would say a 2000 turbo system for about 75-100 hp is well worth it. Not saying that i/h/e aren't good, its a good starting point but for the money per hp nAwZzzzzzz y0.
