Does anyone have the problem with there back e-brake not holding? I have a 93 Si and my rear disks will not hold when you apply the ebrake. I have repaced the read brake pads and they are adjusted enough that they won't drag when driving normal. Any idea would be appreciated.

 

adjust the slack in the cables.

 

Is it not staying up? or not grabbing on the brakes?

 

theres an adjusting nut by where your e-brake handle is. just tighten it down and see if that solves your problem. it most likely should unless something is wrong.

yea i have done that but i don't want the brakes to drag if i set it to tight...

 

Then jack it up, and have a friend spin the wheels and adjust it to just before the pads make contact.

 

is it a tightened cable problem or ratchet problem
(if you need parts I have a spare handbrake)

 

so do you think that the cables are streched?
