What are the Chances?
As many of you may know, 2-3 weeks ago I blew the engine on my RSX-S. Now after getting a replacement engine for it I'm wondering, what are the chances that the tranny could be f***ed up too?
Only if the gears grinid when you shift, the new trannys have pretty good synchros, and the fact that they can get them into gear at a such a high rpm is testament to them.
Damn thats true....Our DSM told a story of a guy in the Charlotte area who sucked in some water in a CAI going in a puddle and Acura replaced it one time as "Good-Will"

No, not all dealers do that. I didn't get a "freebie" and am forking over the cash as we speak. I just hope that I won't have to end up paying for a tranny as well as an engine.

Its up to the DSM (District Service Manager) of that store/district. He/She has to make that call.

in a case as costly as an engine , it would almost always be out of the store managers hands, and up to the district manager while recieving info from the service manager about the conditions of the car (bald tires, any aftermarket parts, ie: CAI!!!) usually the "1 good will" rule is a good rule of thumb for dealing with Acura.
