Will/Can this be harmful to my tranmission?
Hey guys.
I will make this as simple as I can.
I was driving down a three lane highway and it starts to go into 2 lanes
and then one lane where it ends. I was going in 5th, and was distracted and
cruised/braked IN 5TH all the way to about 5mph (the car didnt stall out
or anything) where my car started to shake violently, and scared as I was
i was finally able to clutch it into neutral. I didnt see any noticable tranny
problems on the rest of the way home.
I was wondering if this could cause any tranny/engine problems
I am really worried now and need some help, Thanks

That's called 'lugging' your engine. It puts added stress on the engine and components, but you're fine. Happens to me alot in first gear when I'm in gridlock on the highway during rush hour. Just don't make it a habit.

this is first time happening to me.
I didnt think this would harm the engine, wouldn't it be the tranny that
will be worn?
But this incident wont take like 10,000 off the life of my engine right?
sorry for the weird question little bit anxious and worried atm.

it wont hurt your motor or tranny. unless you do it a bunch. you will be fine. it would a weird fluke for something to go wrong.
