Default F22 series engines

wow, im so suprised the F22A isnt liked much around here.
makes no sense to myself. must be a H-T thing.
you do know this block has just as much potential as a h23 dont you?
maybe not in a all motor setup but certainly nitrous or boost.

please tell me of any users with phat f22 series setups!

i did a search yes and found alot of haters but not alot of users saying
they use it...

by the way i run a 100 shot of NX nitrous with stock internals and my buddy runs 9psi boost on stock internals.

thanks!

why exactly isnt it good for NA?

are you aware that one of the fastest all motor honda race cars on earth uses a SOHC f22?

Ok, that sounds great but do you have any figures on how much was spent on getting the F22 to that status?? If so, are there any VTEC N/A motors close to the performance of this F22 and if so, how much was spent on building it up.

My question is...which motor can you build up for the least amount of $$.

i think you should buy some nice rods and pistons. sleeve the block and turbo that motor. it should make decent power. i mean more so than transplanting a h22.

Sorry but getting that kind of information would be pointless. Guys like Bisi and his f22, he does most of the work himself. So saying it cost x amount of dollars doesnt make sense.

No problem with the f22 motor here. I think that the f22 crank is actually better than the h23.

satan_srv is running an f22 crank in his all motor setup!

thanks guys.

sure one of the fastest all motor honda engine uot there is a f22 which is more evidence its a great block. But that has a huge amount of dinero spent on it.

most of us arent rich. I just wanted to gather up informationw ith fellow users about about parts, ideas, results etc... they got from there mods on this engine.

F22a1 engine - $600
NX express wet kit using a 100 shot. - $500

I only spent $1100 I would think this results to about 230 hp on paper.

That motor is also in a crx chassis, a little different when it's in a lude chassis.

umm ....... hate to break it to you but the f22 crank and the h23 crank are the exact same thing, even the f22 rods are the same

It's interesting you guys are talking about the F22. My friend has a H22 in his accord and he is going to take it out and drop a F22 and turbo it. I want to see what kind of numbers he gets...

Easy on the crack pipe there....I am using an H22A4 crank

I have never used an F22a crank, and yeah it's the same as the H23 crank.

To answer the question about why no love for the F22. For the average modding person the SOHC F22a doesn't not have the potential of the DOHC H23a. I don't consider spraying nitrous on a motor a way to justify it's potential. A similar shot on a DOHC motor should yeild better results I would think..

but there's nothing wrong with an F22a...there's just other options for people.

man im just stoked...
I got this engine swap for only $700! and the nitrous for $800!

$1500 got me 285hp on paper... right on!

I have intake headers exhaust cam gears etc...

so hopefully im still puttin down 285 hp to the flywheel.

cool.

cheap.

by the way i just raced my buddies civic si h22a hatch and whooped his ***....

hehehe</TD></TR></TABLE>

I cant really stress how much of BS you are, your fingers must drip with Bullsh!t.
3 days ago you were BSin about how you just payed 800 bux for your 125 Shot NX TF&TF setup.

no bro.

that is what i paid.

i was just saying you could pick up a engine and nitrous setup for those prices and create it from there for cheap. im not talking ****.

i would say you could get a f22a for $600 and an average nitrous setup is about $500.
