Default where to get a 12v power source for a gauge

I have acouple autometer gauges and i was wonder where people get there 12v sources from. I was using a source from my fuse box till i found out the gauge stayed on all night and killed my battery. So i want to get power from a different source. What would be the best source to power 3 gauges?

On the fuse box under the dash there are a few male spades above the fuses. Those have B+, ign +, and a power for lights. You can run all the wires to them. You just need a volt meter to figure out which connectors are what.

there are a few different 12v sources from under dash fuse box. A couple of these are constant 12v supplies and a couple of these are switched 12v. You'll need a 12v test light to determine which are which.

set meter to VDC (volts direct current) and touch red lead to terminal on fuse block while touching black lead to body ground.
