do i have a blown headgasket or what??
a leakdown was performed on my car awhile back ago and i am losing 26% on cylinders 3 and 4, and 7% on 1 and 2. when air was blown into cylinder 3 you can feel the air come out of 4 and vice versa. i am burning tons of oil, and whenever i start my car oil and water spits out of my exhaust. i know for sure my gasket is leaking cause i have oil around my block. but i want to know if it could be my rings also because if so i might as well replace those too.
If you've ever had overheating problems then it may result in a blown head gasket. Also overheating can warp the cylinder head resulting in the head gasket never getting the proper seal even though the head bolts are correctly torqued.
Anything above 15% leakdown I start checking stuff... The first thing I would do is pour ~1 tablespoon of oil into the cylinder, rotate the crank 360º back to TDC for that cylinder and run the test again... See if the leakdown numbers are any better (is so it's probably your rings, also pull off your hose/breather that you have on your valvecover? How much air is flowing out?)... It really sounds like rings to me as you are burning oil, etc... Typically if your headgasket is bad you'll get WHITE steam coming out your exhaust along with discolored plugs from the coolant/water... As long as you're doing a leakdown test pull the radiator cap off... When you pressurize each cylinder do you get any bubbles coming up in the radiator? If so then you have a bad headgasket... Hope this helps but let me know if you need anything else... Well back to the studyin, damn BI midterm tomorrow

ive blown my cosmic head gasket twice and each time there was a NOTICABLE amount of white smoke from the exhaust, which is the antifreeze being burnt. You can smell it too. I was having to put in prolly 16oz of water everyday until i got it torn apart to look at.
