Default HID question

So I can just go get 2 ballasts and 2 bulbs with how many thousand kelvins that I choose and install a HID kit? If so what is a good ballast to get or bulbs? Ive read some ppl use hella ballast because they are suppost to be really good. Also that phillips bulbs are really good to use with hella ballasts.

Try and stick with the same bulb ballast manufacturer. Yes 2 bulbs and 2 ballasts 4300K best results

Go read the HID threads Or better yet, go to http://www.hidforum.com for some real HID discussions. You can't just buy set of bulbs and ballasts to make it work. Philips/Hella combination really depends on the type of bulb being used. Kelvin is only a color temperature reading. I think you meant by lumens which you can get about 3,200 with 4,100K but you'll never get the full 3,200 lumens do to lighting efficiency.

Well Hella ballasts are good, I believe that's what BMW and Audi use in their cars. I've never heard of any benefits of using Philips bulbs with them though. I'll stick to my Philips bulbs and Philips ballasts.
