Floormats keep moving up?
I seriously didn't want to create thread on floormats, but this really started to irritate me. My front passenger and two rears (if people were sitting there that day) always seem to move up about 2 inches. At the end of the day, I always pull them back into their original position. I recently bought new floormats (not for that reason) and they still do it. Is there something wrong with my carpet or something? Why won't my floormats stay in one spot? It's so annoying that I'm thinking about nailing them down. Anybody else with an R having this similar problem?
It's just how they are. The 01 have that problem more because they are lighter than the 97-01.
You can probably buy the antislide fabric from home decoration stores but I'm not sure how much more that will help.
Your just going to have to live with it.

I say you just tell your passengers to either keep there feet in one place, or tell them to move the floormats back when tey get out. Problem solved.
that or get some proper JDM ITR mats...
The rears are pressstudded together so they don't move and the passenger ones (on mine anyway) have the locating hole too.
I dont have the rear passenger problem anymore cos I've stripped it.

if your really sick of it moving up. drill a small hole ( where its hidden) then zip tie them to something so they don't move. or just tell your passengers not to move their feet. just sit straight.

Exactly.
The stock floor mats have a hole that fits over that post, which is near the rear edge of the driver's side floor mat. It's true of the lighter weight '01 stock mats as well. As long as you fit the mat over the post, it won't shift.
If you're missing that post, you can probably buy another one at your dealer for a few bucks...

What about on a '98? Can I add that post to my car without much difficulty?
Exactly.

Buy a european car. Almost everyone I can think of comes with clasps or hooks for floormats so they don't budge including my GTI. A great example of the attention to detail that can only be found in European (German) cars.

I only see a hole in my driver side floormat. The others don't have them. Are you sure you're talking about an Integra?
Not sure if putting velcro will work. The bottom of the mats have spikes/studs so I wouldn't know where to put the velcros.
I think you guys are right about the newer floor mats being lighter though because I don't remember having this problem with my 99 GSR.

So the JDM ITR mats have a hole for the front passenger too? Also what do you mean by press studded together? Do you have any pics of your mats?

I have serious issues with mat sliding, but I think it has something to do with the fact that I removed my little post to save weight.

That's correct - just the front driver side mat, not the other ones.
Do you have the post that the hole fits over?

Yes. That's how '01 ITR #1091 came from the factory.
