Default #3 cylinder not firing.. wtf??

ok i've narrowed my problem down, my car is running like **** because there is something wrong with the # 3 cylinder. i do not know what it is. while the car is running i'll unplug each plug wire, wires 1,2,4 and the car wants to die, however when i unplug the # 3 wire the car ramains running rough, this tells me there is something wrong with that clyinder, i switch plugs around and it does not affect any other cylinders. cound it be the number 3 injector?? i just resoldered all the injector wires, but its still running rough. any suggestions?

There is probably no compression in Cylinder 3. Do a compression test.

Yup might be your plugs but best bet check your compression.

just had the same thing with my number 2 cylinder; it turns out that one of my new
Accel injectors was totally fried, and another was partially. Might want to swap your injectors around to check.

good luck

Take the wire off, stick a screwdriver in it and put the metal of the screwdriver right next to one of the nuts on the valve cover (like 3mm away) have someone crank the engine while you hold it there and see if it sparks over to the nut. If not, then your obviously not getting spark and need to get either new wires, or cap and rotor.

just checked for spark on number 3. there's enough spark to make me jump, yeah, i got taged. anyway, there seems to be prenty of spark on the number 3 cylinder. as far as compression goes, i had no problem with it before i did the mpfi swap a few days ago, so i can't see how that can contribute to the problem. so then that leaves me with the number 3 injector,,,... right??? i resoldered the the injector wires, sholud i swith A wire around meaning swap it with the one that goes to the injector resistor box.
