Heat is dead and it is cold, help me!
This is for my '94 CX.
For some reason I have no more heat. Even though turn the climate control to hot, cold air still blows out.
The slider on the HOT/COLD side of the climate control was in the middle and I tried to slide it to hot. Well, it wouldn't freakin' stay on the hot side, so I tried sliding it to the cold side and it would not move at all, I mean I even doubt the hulk could move that piece of crap. I eventually ended up "accidentally" breaking it off (Things happen when you get mad). Now it's broken, but I was still able to TRY and move the slider, but it still wouldn't budge to the cold and would not stay on the hot. It was however in the RED part, so the air coming in should have at least been warm, but it wasn't.
At first I thought it might be my thermostat, but I just replaced it like 2000 miles ago and the car heats up fine, idles fine and everything. I have checked everything that I could think possible. The last thing it do is buy a new climate control unit and see if that was the problem, but before I spend like $80, I want to make sure that is the problem. Can anyone help? It is freakin' cold as hell here. Today was -12 and windchill of -30. I walked outside and my fucken nose almost froze shut togather. HELP!!!

Thanks for the quick reply and the pics. Hopefully that will fix it. Sucks that I have the Helms manual printed out for my hatch, but the only section I'm missing the the Heat/AC section, and to think, I never thought I would ever need it.
you may also want to check to make sure the valve to let coolant in to the heater core is working properly. you cant miss it. there are 2 hoses coming out of the fire wall. you will see a cable attached to the one. make sure that valve isnt stuck.

EDIT: And we're all pretty young fellas.
EDIT x2: and I do appreciate the comment as well. I don't ever have super nice pictures like Bauely there because I don't have a digicam.

My cable actually broke at the slider control because it got stuck in the middle. What I did was use tape, super glue, tape, more super glue, to keep the cable in place where the bracket broke.
But, before I did that, I just reached down and used my hand to manually move that metal piece so I could get some heat. It's pretty funny when people ask why I have to do that to get heat!

Yeah, I noticed and that's part of it.

No problem guys, I wouldn't have said it if I didn't mean it. Bauly, I don't think you're a dick to everyone. Well, with the exception of USDM15YearOld, but that's what makes me laugh. The comment about racing with his Mommy in the car cracked me up. I guess when he turns 16 he can look forward to the weight savings.
I do think you share my contempt for lazy idiots that can't think for themselves and can't be bothered doing their own research; "Gosh fellas, which cool wheels should I put on my car?" I don't know, check the clone handbook; it'll tell ya what to do.
