Default qeustion about supercharger

i heard that there is no use running more than 10 psi on a supercharger. so around what compression are you people running so that you can keep up with the people that are boosting alot more with a turbo setup? thanks

Cooling is the biggest issue with the blowers. Once you have an IC setup, you could potentially boost a b18c to 12-14psi, which is a lot of air. Hell, I've seen an ITR boost 15psi, and a shot of nitrous. That would give most any turbo honda a run for it's money.

Turbos have more power potential on the top end, but a blower car has it's own quirks that make it a good choice for a lot of people.

i don't know if this helps.. but i'm running 9psi on my b16 with stock compression..

i'm planning on milling the head .20 and and an intercooler setup.

once you get the cooling out of the way.. the only downside of the supercharger is your torque peak is between 2 and 3K rpm.. haha
