Default ********URGENT*********

Ok,, I'm about to buy some Ross pistons, my question is wich set should I buy???

#pn 99808 BORE:3.209 STROKE:3.504 DISH CC:-11.9 WEIGHT:310 C.H.:1.180

OR-------------

#pn 99807 BORE:3.209 STROKE:3.504 DISH CC:-6.1 WEIGHT:289 C.H.:1.180

My setup is B18B1 (stock) T25 turbo at 8psi, 2.5 mandrel downpipe/exhaust, GSR tranny, SMC+ fuel hack, 450cc DSM injectors, MSD BTM to retard timing. I think that's all the useful info. The main concern is the CR, I have calculated the CR on C-speedracing website and the #99808 yielded 8.1cr and the #99807 yielded 8.89cr. but on the Ross calculator it's different, wich one gives the most accurate results?? I'm planning to go 10psi at the most, so wich set should I take and what CR is the real one?

The deal is like tomorrow so I really need to know quick please.

Thanks alot guys for helping me out.

wich set I should take, it's not too low,, I mean the stock comp is 9.2:1, so 8.89:1 is not that far,, but the thing is HOW accurate is the calculator? are you telling me to take the 99807?

I'd go with the 99807's, they're work good for a street car.

A DSM t25 on a B18?? Are you kidding?? Can you say **choke*** Choke***!! Man that turbo is way too small for a b18. Geez, do a search for how to read a compression map. I bet the power will take a huge nosedive at about 4,500 rpm since the turbo will be adding bukoo heat to the charge.

2nd, I personally think that if 10 psi is the MAX you will run, I would go for 9.0:1 or even 9.5:1 compression. Anything under 9:1 will be a dog until boost hits.

You can go with the 8.8:1 choice but plan on running 13-15 psi minimum or you will not be happy.

The sutep has been running all the summer last year,, and ther was no choke or whatever,, the power curve was pretty good, that was on the stock block. I know it would be better a T3t04 but hey! can't afford it. I'm satisfied eith the power that gives me that turbo for the moment,,, maybe I'll switch it in the far future.
