I just toasted mine a few days ago. You could upgrade to the 4.77 gearset with a comptech reinforced diff. housing, or purchase a used factory unit. I know where you can get ahold of the whole rear end out of a used S2K for around $700. If your're interested in that, PM me. Hope this helps.

You can get the gearset from http://www.ricks2k.com and the reinforced diff. housing from Comptech.

sidestep the clutch at 6k+ rpm or improperly launch without loading the powertrain or quickshift lacking in skill and you'll damage the powertrain, differential assembly included. The LSD on the car doesn't break, it's the pinion gear.

the actual limited slip unit, whether it be a torsion unit or clutch pack is not the weak part. It's the case and mounts.
