Default Installed y8 head on my d16a6 today and Vtec solenoid is making a exhuast leak noise, HELP?

Well i installed my y8 head today on my d16a6, i bolted and tightened everthing perfectly, and i went to start the car and it was making a exhuast leaking noise. Well upon further inspection, i found that it was the vtec solenoid that was making the noise, it was also blowing out a little water at the bottom. Does anyone know what the problem could be? worn out Vtec? bad gasket? everything looked good on it, and i tightened all bolts evenly. Any ideas would help me greatly, thanks.

your vtec fluid must be low. seriously the solenoid should not be leaking water, it only deals with oil. check to see if you connected all your coolant lines correctly and that the intake manifold is torqued down. there are a lot of coolant passageways/lines around the vtec solenoid
