trying to lower my 4x4, KYB GR2 question/Neuspeed ?
I found this on inlinefour.com:
http://www.inlinefour.com/neusgr2com.html
I've searched on here and have found mixed reviews about the KYB GR2 shocks. Some say they will blow on high performance springs, some say they are fine. I know they are basically a stock replacement.
Will this setup last at least a few years on street driving? (Neuspeed sports w/ KYB GR2)
Please list personal experience or what people you know have experienced. If you just read it, I've probably read it as well.

The GR2's should be fine with the sport springs. I know alot of us Saturn owners use them with lowering springs and have no problems. I like the GR2's on the Saturns they ride and handle very well with the right spring. So I would think that you would not have any problem with them for using them on the streets.
i would personally get the kyb agx's for a little more and drop them with your neuspeed springs or even better, some h&r springs. gr2's are just really oem replacements. but it's your money and car. friends experiences haven't been the best with the gr2's.

With the softer springs, the Gr.2's are unreal. When I went to a stiffer spring, I found they just couldn't keep up. So as long as your spring rates aren't too high, they will be awesome shocks.
agreed, i was thinking of blues/gr2's but for my skunk2 race lowerign springs they wouldnt work to well....still trying to find a good price on illumina's. go with them or yellows if you want to go all out
I think they'll be fine with Neuspeed sports. I was considering getting them, and I heard alot of good things. Everybody told me, "Don't get the GR-2s, they're just OEM replacements" but the people that actually had them on the car told me good things about them. Just keep in mind, if you ever want stiffer springs or more of a drop, you'll probably want to get a better strut.
I think Tom has them on his EF i dont know though. my roomate has them on his 240 with some know name coilovers and i dont think the cheap spring dont clear the bottom cup because the car sits at like stock height. shoot i'm not sure though.
I used the AGX's on my car with intraxx springs... I am pretty happy, the AGX's are adjustable that's why I spent the extra few bux on em. And it turned out ok. Good luck with your decision...
I've got Neuspeed race springs & GR-2's on my 91 hatch & have had them for aproximatley 1 year & 6k miles & all is well. They ride very comfortably.
ive got H&R sport springs w/ the KYB AGX adjustable struts havent installed them yet... waitin for this damn snow to go away
