i dont see why that would be too low... i have nuespeed race springs and koni's on my sol. its a 2.5/2.25 drop for me. there is still a tiny bit of gap. the city i live on is on a hill, and the streets are **** and i rarely rub. when i do rub its cuz im drive like a mad man. oh and im on 16's with 205/40/16. the funny thing about those tires is the diameter is actually a few mm smaller than stock. but i think you would be ok, unless you want a softer ride and or you want more clearance.

You should be a fan of coil-overs.

I run custom rate Eibach ERS springs (found on Ground Control coil-overs anyways) on my Koni Yellows and the ride and handling is awesome.

Plus I too ran 15'' Circuit 8 wheels with Azenis and I had to bump my ride height up with the coil-overs.

Here's a few snaps with my old Rota wheels on the car:

Gap:

I chose very stiff rates that I am required to run my Konis on full stiff. I chose 425F 550R for some *** happy handling.

If you want a nice ride and good handling perhaps a 300/275 rate would be good for you. That's be pretty stiff, but not spine killing. then you can add a big rear swaybar to get more *** rotation.

You can order the custom rates if you order from Ground Control.

I got mine from Wheel Source and I ordered 8'' long, 2.5'' diameter ERS springs.

Ill trade you H&R sports for the Neuspeed Race?

My current coilovers, full real deal coils suck. spring rate is 500/350 and that car bounces all over the damn place.
Im just going to go with race springs instead.

Roll your fenders! You won't rub.
Get some GC coilovers with custom rate springs(I think Tom is runnig 550F/450R,7.5"tall right? or some shiyat like that)
Can't go wrong with coilovers tho, raise and lower as you please....with springs, you're stuck with the height it gives you...

S-techs are soft enough that you will probably have a rubbing problem.

Like everyone else said, you'd be better off with Ground Control coilovers. They're inexpensive, very versatile, and work well with Koni Sports.

You are stuck with a specific spring rate and specific ride height when buying a brand-name spring. With Ground Controls, you can set your own height, and change it if you have any problems. You can order your own custom spring rates for the GCs, and you can also buy another set of Eibach ERS springs with different rates if you aren't satisfied with the rates you choose.

I have tein s tech with illumina and i'm rolling with azenis 205/50-15.
No rubbing issue here. I only rub when i have to fully turn my wheel.

Pssst!

I already posted that I'm running 425F, 550R and they are 8'' long and 2.5'' in diameter.

Side note:

Tein S-Tech springs are a very mild drop with almost stock-like rates. I should know because I have them on my 1990 hatchback.

The drop:

They ride awesome with KYB GR-2 struts, which are just a tiny bit stiffer than stock and are sold as stock replacements.

Koni Yellows will be overkill for such a stock-like spring unless you run the Konis on full soft. If you always have to run them on full soft then why even have them in the first place?

Also for the guy who said:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">dont get a camber kit if u dont want ur tires to rub</TD></TR></TABLE>

Not exactly.

It's going to depend on the drop and how much negative camber the car gets from that drop.

I have front camber kits on my car pictured above, and I never rub. I also have thin shims in the rear to correct the camber just to get it into specs.

I will say this though:

ZERO CAMBER IS BAD!!! DO NOT LET AN ALIGNMENT SHOP USE YOUR CAMBER KITS TO GET ZERO, OR WORSE, POSITIVE CAMBER!!!

Zero camber increases the likelihood of rubbing, and it makes handling sworse.

On my silver hatch I used my kits to give me -.9 camber up front and shims in the rear to get -1.1 camber. I never rub and the car handles great. A bit more nregative camber would be better for handling, but it's not so great for street cars that need tires to last longer.

On my red hatch the drop is so mild that I'm sitting at -1.2 and -1.1 up front and i used thin shims on one side to get an even -1 in the rear. On that car I won't put a camber kit on because I run longer lasting H rated tires, plus the camber is only.2 out of spec so there's no need for a kit.

I try to run the most allowable negative camber.

Also let me say that bad toe wears tires worse than camber problems. If you're not going to get a camber kit then by all means at least get a routine 4-wheel toe alignment.

yeah on my old 5g civic i was dumped on the lowest perches on koni sports with neuspeed race springs and i only rubbed on full u turns going fast, and that was at the softest koni setting. I didnt run camber kits but had the toe set perfect and i never wore my tires down after 15k miles
