90 CRX Si leaking in the rear......Someone help.
OK, get a load of this, my car is leaking in the driver side rear of the car, right below the struts of the back wheels. I have only come to two conclusions, either it is the strut that is leaking some oil (not that i know if it contains any liquid) or it is a minor leak of the gas tank (cause the gas tank is near it). I touched the liquid to see what it was and it is some type of oil but don't know exactly what it is. Anyone explain this to me?
I guess it is the brake fluid. Most of the time, if it leaks in the rear of the car, where is the leak? I don't want to spend a bundle taking it to a mechanic if i can fix it for cheap myself.
Simply jack your car up,take the wheel off and look.If everything is wet(leaking bad)have someone step on the brake pedal and watch if fluid starts leaking from somewhere.Always use a jackstand, never just the jack that came with the car.Work Safe.
I looked under the car and it seems like the majority of the leakage has been deposited on the strut. Could it be a leakage of some fluid from the strut or the brake fluid the only real explanation of leakage in the rear wheels?

So is their fluid inside the rear struts and they can leak possibly? If this is the case, what is the consequence of the leaking of the strut fluid?
