puddle under my car
I am in the midst of installing various parts for my turbo setup, and today I was putting on my front left tire (I had to have it replaced) when I noticed a puddle under my car. It didn't smell so I was wondering what it was and then I checked my brake fluid reseviour and it was quite low. It was also wet underneathe it so I know this is where the fluid under my car came from. I took out my ecu and that's about it but I'm not sure why there is that puddle under my car. Any one have any suggestions as to why this happened? Thanks.

Re: puddle under my car (dustin)
Yup, it's brake fluid. It doesn't smell like gas and it's not dark in color. My resevoir is practically empty and the firewall is somewhat damp underneathe it. As well, it only happened when I took out my ecu and disconnected my battery and jacked up the driver side of my car to take off my tire. How does this stuff leak out? Is it a hole in one of my lines or did jacking up my car cause it to spill out or something? Thanks again guys.

Re: puddle under my car (ludelvr)
check to see if your brake lines are bolted on tightly to the caliper. check for rips, tears, or holes on the brake line. i'm not sure about the preludes, but, i had the same situation happen to me when i reconnected the brake line on my civic and had both washers sandwiched together on top of the brake line where it bolted down. when there should have been a washer on top of the brake line and on the bottom.
