Default Battery weight may put you through the ice :P

Can you bring a generator or a long extension cord?

To power 1000 watts for 12 hours at 12volts means you need 1000AH(amp hours) at 12 volts.

The biggest svr battery puts out 100AH and weighs 72 pounds. You will need 10 of these

Make that 13-15 I forgot to account for battery loses due to internal resistance.

honda makes some sweet generators. I think they could cover the power you are looking for in a small carriable genny.
