Default Boosted B16A2 w/ 9:1 JE Pistons... what cams to use???

I have a B16A2 that I am rebuilding.... I need to know what would be the best cams if I am looking at running around 12-14 lbs daily.

The engine has: 9:1 JE pistons, ARP rod/bolt set, Type-R 1.8lb crank pully, T3/T4 turbo, equal length turbo manifold, stock intake manifold, 440 DSM injectors, FPR, fuel rail, and a walbro 255gph fule pump.

I would like to go with CTR cams but I am not sure if thats the best choice for my application. My goal its to try and hit around 400 WHP...there is a possobility that I will be running nitrous also (55 Shot).

What cams do I use???

I'd def. try and find out what rods you are running. As for the cams, just keep yours or maybe get a set of GSR cams.

I would recommend GSR, ITR or an ITR intake and GSR exhaust combo. Good luck!

ctr and itr exhaust cams are the same.
itr cams are gonna be slightly more aggressive than gsr's and ive seen mixed results between the 2. some lose power from itr's some gain. i guess every motor is different. if u have the money experiemtn with the itr's and some adjustable cam gears if not go with gsr's

ITR cams can handle 616hp.....thats good enough for me!!! I am only looking for around 400hp. I have seen many ITR cams on ebay going for like $3-400...

But as Boostfed said in his post, ITR cams worked for his set-up. All cams differ to what set-up you are running. Remember he upgrade from Si to ITR cams. GSR cams could have done better or worse for him. I would experiment with both GSR and Type R cams and the make a decision based on that.

I wish I had the money to do that....I am running on a tite budget tho... SO I kinda have to go by what you guys tell me, what you think might be the best for the setup I am running. I might be able to buy a differnt set down the road but as for now I can get one set to start with...I just not sure which cam set would be the best for the mods I listed.

Im pretty they can handle 9K. I know the retainers can handle 10K+, Len is revving the **** out of his car on stock retainers and they are fine.
