headgasket would be white smoke due to burning coolant and would also have a burnt waffle smell to it if you can imagine what that smells like

Black smoke is fuel, when you go into vtec the ecu gives more fuel to prevent denotation. Thus causing more black smoke.Your car is fine don't worry about it.

How are you gonna shoot "raw fuel" out your exhaust?Raw fuel is considered to still be in its liquid form. It's not a top fuel dragster it dosen't just pour gas out the exhaust. If it did it wouldn't even idle.

A small puff is fine when driving very aggressive.. but a trail of black smoke is NOT not fine.

maybe ludedude could explain the situation a lttle more.

It all depends on what mods the car has and so on.Say you have a higher flowing header with no cat or resonator just a strait pipe and a muffler the car is gonna run richer which causes MORE black smoke unless you tune some of the fuel out with a vafc or stand alone. It just depends on the car, mods, stock or chipped ecu,or if the car has a vafc not tuned right. All of these variations can make a difference.

"I wouldnt call shooting a black cloud, of smoke out your exhaust fine running"

I say check your MAP senser or your FPR out..

As stated before, black means you are running rich. If you are really concerned about it, go out and run your car hard then park it. Then pull your spark plugs and check the color of them.

white - lean/bad
tan- happy medium for a stock car
black - rich - good for FI cars
