Default How safe is this setup?

Hey guys I just put a Greddy 92-95 Civic EX turbo on my ZC. Runs great, no pinging at boost. My question is I only put colder plugs, changed the timing, and am using the fuel regulater that came with the kit. At only 5 psi do I need any other engine management? Thanks

make sure you have a Air/Fuel mixture guage..or better yet ..get a EGT so you can see if you're running Lean or Rich.. Get an inline Fuel Pump...5lbs is just starting ..next thing you know you want to boost more!!!! it's better to run rich than lean!!!

Haha, thanks for the feedback, but do you think the setup I have now should be safe? I only have a boost gauge at the moment

I've been considering that turbo for my ZC... how was the install for it? Did you have to do any major re-working of the plumbing or was it more or less straight in?

Thanks,
Eric

So it is running an FMU? I would at least get a somewhat higher pressure fuel pump. The greddy kit is not all that demanding for fuel, but safer is better.

The install on a ZC wasnt to bad, there was a few things we had to cut, we actually didnt have to weld anything! I also had a kid help me with the install who already installed one in his old hatch.

With the kit I got a blue box but couldnt use it, "dont think its compatable with my teg ecu", luckily the kid who installed it had a fuel pressure riser left over from his old kit that we installed.

Im hitting about 5.5 pounds of boost.

Only issue Im having now is a damn oil leak in the oil pan, its leaking from a corner and I redid the gasket twice using Honda bond in the corners! Grrr! Ill have to bring that to a shop
