Default Which wheel weights --> Stick on or Clip on inner lip?

I have these on now:

The first time the stick on weights were used. I cleaned the wheels up really nice, waxed them, removed ALL the stick on weights, and went back for balance (lifetime balance). I wonder if I pissed them off removing the weights so they used the clip on inner lip ones thinking I can't remove them. Anyhow, is one better than the other? I think my car rode a lot smoother with the stick ons. You could tell there were stick on weights before because of the left over residue that I could not remove. Thanks for any help!!

You can see where the stick on weights were located in the pic below:

the stick on weights are far better in my opinion
when using stick on weights they usuall static balance the wheel
which places the weight where the imperfection is centered
that is why sometimes you will see the stick ons in different areas
or depths of the wheel
