sit in my R and start shifting gears, pressing the clutch and not. does this mess up my synchros or anything else? or am i just freakin paranoid-posts with people having shifting and gear problems scare the sh*t out of me. i just don't like that clicking sound it makes when playing with the stick while car is off!!! my friends do this and think nothing of it i'm gonna break someones fingers soon!

You know what I really hate is when people slam my doors. It seems all my freinds drive trucks and they think they need to use all their strenth to get the door to shut right.

 

I second that..... I dont drive no Caddy gat dammit!

 

I tell first time riders... "...the doors are very light..." - some get it, others get yelled at.

I guess a great majority of my friends are "truck people". (shudder)

 

that **** with the slamming doors will drive me to murder one day .
i had a 99 gs all tricked out and my gilr would slam the **** out of my doors all the time . i would get soo pissed, im like this aint a bimmer with 200 lb dorrs its and acura, its light, , , , so then after a long time of dealing with that and other things with it i sold it and bought a bmw, then she would shut the doors reall lightly and not shut them all the way . imm like well in the ac you slam em and they are light doors, in a bmw, you shut them lighlty and they are heavy, well then i sold the bmw and got the r and she ******* slammed the doors again . i shot that stupid bitch to the curb, i love my cars and she just couldnt get it right,

I used to bring my sis to party's and ****. But since she just can't close the doors with respect, she now walks

Don't let those chumps molest your R like that. As for the door slammers, tell them if they do it again they'll be banned from riding.

fuking chics dude , now my new girl tries to open the passenger side when its locked and thne when it doesnt open she lets it bang back shut. . . . . . . that shuit pisses me off too , cuz then my frikinhandles will fall off one day , now my doors feel misallinged, i have to try to shut it more effort now. . . . . aaahhhhhhhh, somone must die.

Thank you. I say "IT'S A HIGH PERFORMANCE DOOR, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK THIS IS A CADDY $%#&#$", they think the high performance door part is funny but it usually doesnt happen again.

 

I'm surprised you didn't say slamming it closed by the wing. I can see the thing flex when people do this. I usually cringe then slap my friend who did it.

 

Yea, I can't stand it when people slam my Doors, especially when the window is down. I bitch at them constantly. I used to drive a Miata. The doors on that car make the R feel like a Mercedes. I'm sick and tired of it. That and people parking on top of me. Some stupid sack of **** put a ding in my rear quarter panel with his/her door.

 

The shifting gears doesn't hurt anything, and doesn't bother me. Most of my friends drive imports, so they don't slam my doors. Even the ones that drive domestics are smart enough. The key is not to hang out with truck people. They are the worst when it comes to door slamming.

 

ya... the slamming the door thing really gets me mad, also when people close your door with the &^(*&^ window, not only bad but leaves finger prints everywhere bah!! heheh

 

One of my automotive pet peeves is when people riding shotgun take the seatbelt off and kind of toss it over their shoulder, hitting the window. Especially if you have tint, it can chip/tear it. guess this applies to all autos.
