B-series Transmission stripped mainshaft

Default B-series Transmission stripped mainshaft

I have a bad GSR tranny and a B16 tranny with a stripped main shaft. Can I take apart both trannies and switch the mainshafts? Are both mainshafts the same? I also want to use the GSR 5th gear in the B16, will that be a problem? Thanks.

you can switch mainshaft, but you'll need to carry over the 1/2 gears from the countershaft of the new mainshaft you'll be usisng(gsr). if you do this it will work, but it will make your car slower in second gear!

It's the other way around, I'll be using the B16 tranny with the GSR mainshaft and 5th gear. Will that be a problem?
