I just bought a D16y8 to swap into my CX hatch and I wanted to swap the engine harness as well to ease the installation. I have 2 questions first is there somewhere I can buy the entire harness (I checked ebay and the classifieds with no luck), and also I had previously swapped my guage cluster will the VTEC light on the cluster work or do I have to wire that?

use your own harness and your have to wire that vtec light up for it to work.

 

Contat Larry at importautosalvage.com He usually can get them pretty quick and for a very reasonable price.

Ebay sometimes has them. I just won an auction for the d-16y8 engine harness, paid about 50 bucks for it. hmo was asking around 150 for it, and sohfast.com has them for like 250.

i didn't know honda's gauges came with a vtec light. and yes you can buy the whole harrnes but waste of money. there is only a few wires that you would have to useing if ran the harness you currently have

 

If i remember my buddies SI had one in it... I thought it did anyway, I want to plug everything in and not neccessarily cut and solder wires to make it work. Know what I mean.
