air/fuel gauge installation help
help! well i just got an autometer pro-comp air/fuel gauge for 10 bucks for my rex but i have no idea where to hook it up. there's three wires. red/black/purple. where can i splice them to? know of any tech articles for this? help me out. thanks.
I'm pretty sure the purple wire is the sensor wire.
Which should make the red wire the +12V wire, and the black wire the ground.
Tap the purple wire into the oxygen sensor wire.
Tap the red wire into any 12 source (i used the cigarette lighter for my guage).
Tap the black wire into a GOOD ground (perhaps on the ECU harness).
I'm not positive on the wire colors because I'm not using the POS autometer guage. Still, it's better than nothing...
