Default what year is this prelude and how can you tell?

first of all, it can be from 92-96 year made, however, without looking at the door jam and engine bay, how can you tell exactly what year it is made? Anotherwords, can you tell exactly the year made by looking outside of the car?

Well... it is either a '92 or '93 judging from these things:

Wheels: 94+ came with curvy rims
Bumper lights: 94+ came with clear lights
Snorkels next to the headlights: 94+ came with two ribs instead of one.

As for knowing whether it is '92 or '93, you really can't from the outside. If it is a VTEC then it must be a '93 (first year VTEC was offered).

This is all assuming this is a bone stock, USDM model.

I have a 95 and my car didn't come with clear corners. I agree though about the rims.

sure someone could have changed to lenses to amber, but i doubt they would have changed the nostrils next to the headlights and the wheels.

my money is on 92 0r 93.

they're not technically clear corners,
they're part clear and part amber where as
the 92-93's are all amber

Ya um how about looking at the VIN #?

digit #10 is your friend (hey that rhymes)

if you search lots of places will have the table that shows what year corresponds to what letter/number.

if you mean just by seeing the car at a distance, there is never any way to know for sure.

the things that change from year to year are so easy to swap from model to another that you can't use them as indicators (not for sure anyways). so easy to change bumpers, headlights, interior trim, rims, things like that.

Basically what everybody else said.

If it's a VTEC it's a 93
If it' an SR it's a 92 or 93.

if u see it in person another easy way to tell the year.....go take a look at the center consol...if its the a big center consol that goes all the way back then its a 92...if it doesn't go back tot he back seats..then its a 93

Well if you see it in person you could just get the VIN number or read the production year off the door.

either way its a BB! as it has BB1 Vents.

UKDM and JDM BB1s were only offered from 1992 - early'94. Then the design was changed to have a counter-sank twin fin design.
