Default External Gauge wiring hook up

aye guys i got a couple of gauges taht i took out of a car in a junk yard. i was wondering if anyone knows of info on how to hook them up. ive been searching on the 1g crx site -redpepperracing, but theyre a bunch of ********, and dont help out much. i need to know where the wires hook up, i dont really wanna ghettorigg the gauges and then have them fukked up. i have a voltmeter, and a temp gauge and a boost gauge, but i dont think i can hook that one up, since the car is stock. if any of you guys know where i can get the info to hook em up that'd be great, thanks.

You need the senders for the gauges. You mount the coolent temp sender where there is coolent flow, and run the wire to the signal input on the gauge. You mount the boost sender to the intake manifold or a vacuum line, and run the wire to the signal input on the gauge. All the gauges get hooked to a +12V and ground.

so uhh..what do you mean by a sender? can i just hook up the temp gauge to the original wires in the cluster, by splicing the other wires into it? and as for the voltmeter cant i just run a wire to the alternator? i heard i can just do this, is it possible?

You need the senders that came with the gauge. You can tap the voltmeter wire the same place you get power for the other gauges.
