ELECTRONIC BOOST GAUGE INSTALL QUESTION
hi guys
I got an electronic boost gauge with four wires coming out the back. One red (+) one balck (-) one yellow wire for dimming light and the other wire (orange) goes to some kind of sending unit with two male spade connectors pedruding from it. I am not sure what boht of the spade connectors are for im guessing one is where the orange wire goes. The two spade terminals are marked s and -
do the electronic gauges use vaccuum tubing? I thouoght this was from mechanical
any help would be great

basically in a nutshell im wanting to know if an electronic boost gauge uses vaccuum piping? as i havent had it provided in the kit.
can someone maybe explain the difference between a mechanical gauge and electronic gauge? the gauge is a RaceX

if its electrical did they provide a sensor of any type? I would assume they would have provided a boost/vacuum sensor of some sort that would register readings back to the gauge from whereever your source is (vac manifold, etc).
a mechanical gauge would just run capillary tubing from the source back to the gauge

what kind of guage is it?
did you read the instructions?
yes, electrical gauges use a sending unit, which a vacuum source it plugged into, then wires go from the sending unit to the guage.
