what about teh compression ratio?

 

i thought that jdm motors were supposed to have 10 more hp due to them not carring about emissions?

for instance:
- usdm b16a is 160 while jdm b16a is 170
- usdm b18c is 170 while jdm b18c is 180

so..i was thinking
- usdm b18b is 142 so that would make jdm b18b 152?

not sure about torque but i think that only changes at the most by 4 or 5..


I am purchasing a jdm b18b so this is what i was thinking..

How can you tell if it is a jdm or usdm?

 

Here I pulled some info for you.....

93-94 JDM Integra ESi has a b18b motor and here are the specs

Engine - 1.8L, 4 cylinder, DOHC

Valavetrain - 16 valve, 4 valves per cylinder, dual overhead camshafts, belt driven

Power - 145 PS (142 HP) @ 6300 RPM

Torque - 17.4 kg-m (126 lbs-ft) @ 5200 RPM

Compression - 9.2:1

PowerTrain - Transverse front engine, front wheel drive (FF)


I personally don't know specifics...but I thought this would help

 

I thought Japan only had either DOHC VTEC or SOHC...and no Non-VTEC DOHC...? I could be wrong tho.

Like I said I dunno personally, but that is for a 93-94 Integra ESi, which is the only JDM integra (I could find) with a b18b

now there are other models with b18c, b18c (specR) and then they have other engine codes like ZC
