Does anybody else have any problems with their hood latch??? mine will not latch all of the time and I have a bitch of a time getting it closed most of the time....Any ideas or should I just pick up a new hood latch????

 

Well first, make sure that it is aligned....make sure the latch on the hood, fits 100% perfectly in the slot in the mechanism....also make sure the mechanism isnt "frozen or seized" up inside...try that...hope i can be helpful!

 

I have that same problem. I can just pull on the hood latch cable and then mine shuts fine. So you may wanna try that before you but a new latch on.

 

Mine came like that when i bought it. Did not want to spend money fixing it, so everytime i need to close the hood, i just reach by the latch and pull on the cable. I guess for my car whn i pull the lever inside the car, the cable doesnt retract. I have to do it manually. no biggie!
