do you have a engine kill switch? my longacre battery/alt cutoff switch was killing my alternators. went thru 3 or 4 in 2 years.

 

i feel that i should explain this more in detail, my first post was venting.
i don't believe that the alternator is dead after all.

here is the recap.
after installing MSD cap and blaster coil, the car obtained a miss at high RPMs. It is also extremely hard to start the car, i drain the batter each time almost completely, which led me to believe at first that it was not charging (happened twice before, took a month to diagnose). the miss and hard start also mean that there is a weak voltage, either in the entire system, or most likely in the ignition system.

so, voltage while charging is 13v, better that usual, runs great until 4.5-5k where it begins to miss. and very hard starts, almost impossible.

i should also mention that i installed the MSD **** only after my coil and igniter failed. i decided to get something better along with a new igniter.

No radio? Check the cig lighter fuse that always goes out on my car. gayness cause theres a short somewhere...
