Default driver side AXLE

hey,

anyone ever experience a problem of taking out the driver's side driveaxle, specifically for a 90-93 integ? i was helping a friend trying to swap trannies but we couldnt get the axle out

we got a book that says to just pop it out of the intermediate shaft but it just would budge. we kept prying and prying but it didnt come out?

any thoughts on this? help would be greatly appreciated

you need to pry both sides at the same time. i had the same problem, it took about 10 hours to get that ****** out.

Remove the int. shaft along with the driver-side axle.

Or, just smack the inboard joint on the axle with a sledgehammer. It'll pop out. Prying won't even budge it enough to get the retainer clip to pop out of hte groove.

yeah I usually just remove the axle and halfshaft at the same time as one piece.

there should be three bolts from the intermediate shaft and the block. take out those three bolts and it will slide right out.

<----same thing happened to me

thats if its set up like the 94-01 integras

Is there a way to get the intermediate shaft separated from the driver's side driveaxle without removing it all, or do you have to remove the driveaxle and intermediate shaft and try to separate them on the ground?

Hit it with a large hammer, it's not all that tough.
