88 honda crx dx, rear suspesion is making me crazy, need help!
Guys I'm having weird problems with my rear passenger side of the car, that side is always a lot higher than the rest, I had coilovers with two sleeves, and lowered them completely and that side was always a lot higher, I even removed the last sleeve from that side and nothing, I thought that maybe the coilovers were causing this problem so I swapped back to springs, and now the same thing is happening to me
I'm going to list what could be causing this problem and you guys pls help me to remove stuff from my list.
1 - I have kyb gr-2 shocks, maybe I put the wrong one on that side, but supposly the other side should be high too )
2 - bushings, I saw a couple of bushings down there on the rear passenger side and are in bad conditions.
What else could it be? Also if the car is not moving and I suddenly release the clutch the back suspesion makes a horrible noise, like if the spring wants to jump off the shock, something like that. The rear suspesion is making me crazy, need help asap!

I have similar problems, and I think it may be the bushing. Im gonna keep an eye other peoples opinions.
Could be one side has a completely worn out bushing. If you have 88 control arms, could be upside down on one side and not the other. Past that, i'd be stumped, there's really not that much going on back there.
Wierd, I'd definitely check the bushings. The ones in the LCA's and trailing arm's. But I would think you'd want to look at the lower side (driver rear) first. If the bushings are rotted/ripped, then things get lowered/sagged. Then the opposite side will seem higher by comparison. At any rate check all of them to be safe. EF/ED are notorious for rotting the trailing arm bushings.
Also, try taking a floor jack and raising the front of the car by the center jacking point. With the front wheels off the ground check to see if you still have a height difference in the rears. I was thinking maybe there is (also) some weight jacking going on the diagonal corners. If, say your drivers front is low, it will raise your passenger rear. This is also assuming you don't have something heavy in the driver rear side...
Lastly, it sounds like you may have swapped springs & sleeves between the two rears. But have you swapped the shocks? Just to see if the height difference follows one particular part around.

Also, I don't think this is a problem. You shouldn't be able to put fronts on the back and vice versa, since they attach differently to the LCA's. And if you're concered with left-to-right, the shocks shouldn't be "sided".

to properly level the car, you should release and tighten all the suspension bolts to the shock and control arm so that the bushings are freed up and centered at static ride height. youre going to have to get the car on jack stands and then wit hthe wheel off, jack the corner until that corner just comes up the jack stand and then retighten. this helps alleviate common problem of cars not resting level.
as for noises, always so hard to convey in words what could be the problem based on noise since there can be many things that can go wrong. best thing to do is just go back and disassemble and see if there is anything missing and make sure its done right. if it still makes noise, well, i wonder then if your cheapo coilovers ruined your shocks. its hard to tell exactly if a shock has been too worn, until its totally trashed - oil spurting out and totally unsmooth. but figuring your history with the cheap coilovers in between installing your current springs, i would think theres some connection to the noise issues.
WARNING TO EVERYONE ELSE! DO NOT BUY COILOVERS OFF EBAY!!!! ITS NOT WORTH IT!
