Ok well this is the 3rd motor i put in and got it running friday night . Yesterday i was fixing some idle issuses and a coolant leak anyway we drove it around my subdivision about 4-5 times and pulled back in to adjust the idle control screw and it started knocking . I talked to a freind at the shop where i got this motor and he said since this has happend 3 times now he thinks that my engine wiring harness might have a bad wire .

Also when i bought the car it spun bearings the guy (chris) i bought the car from said he was just driving and the oil light came on and the car died and then he started it and it started knocking . Well that motor i took apart and it spun 2 rod bearings .

but anyway have you heard of this or do you think that it is possible that this is what could be causing me problems.

also i found out that the ecu has been chiped by Gude . he said that the rev limiter was changed . ?????????????

 

its really hard to make sense out of your story

when you bought the car it had 2 spun bearings.
now you placed another engine in there and its backfiring so you are
afraid that the new engine will spin another bearing since it happened
more than 3 times with the same car.

to begin you should change the ecu since gude has a bad rep.

sorry i should of been more clear

i have put 3 motors in the car since i bought the car . all three of the motors have started knocking the day after i put them in . it does not back fire .

the oil light comes on when i slow down to a stop . it is random when the light comes on .

 

well the oil moved manually not
electronically.
best bet is to buy a new oil pump on your next purchase...

 

yeah that is what i thought there is nothing on the wiring that controls the oil .
