Default Need help w/ gsr block setup...

I'm swapping in a gsr block to replace my b16 block for my setup, and wanted to build it a little before throwing it in. I would like to be around 300-350 whp in the car, and am wondering what I should do to the block to make sure it will be ok. Obviously the car will be getting tuned. I was thinking JE 9:1 pistons and eagle rods. And having the pistons matched to the block. Would that setup be fine or should I be changing some things/adding more parts?

For 300-350hp it should be fine. I would change stuff like water pump and oil pump while rebuilding. If you get it sleeved, it will be even better. Just make sure you get it tuned properly.

fu@ker! i only made 296hp @12 on stock internals!!! oh well, it was just a stock greddy kit with the blue box. by the way original poster, it did'nt last long like this. just pistons + rods should be fine. but with the other stuff like water pumps, and belts...be smart, if it was ment to ware out, replace it.
