Default volvo t5 turbo??? any good? please look!

Found a t5 turbo on a volvo today! just need to know if its gonna be to laggy and will it hold til the redline? its going on a d16z6 dont know what trim it is either any help would be appreciated as im an fi noob!

trim/ is a little important...i would think itd probably be a little laggy, since the engine it has been designed for is at least a liter bigger(?) than your civic engine thus taking more time to spool from exhaust.

It's not a T5. I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as a T5. As far as the turbo off of a volvo on a d16z6, that's what I run. I have a turbo that came off either a 740 or a 760... I beleive it's a .48ar T3. It's a great match. You'll love it, so take it if the price is right (and it's in good shape). They are a pain in the *** to use, you'll have to come up with a way to grind the flange... But I did it, with just a rotary sander and an hour of my time. Now it works good with my drag manifold. You'll probably have to lose the internal gate if you want to keep AC.
