CAN'T AJUST IDLE!!
The other day I went to adjust my timing becuase after checking it it was a few degrees off and there was some bolts to losen on the distrib. well all but one, yes one stupid bolt. The last one just got all stripped on the outside and I couldn't get a screw drive into the hole because of stuff in the way. I even tried vice grips. Is there another way to adjust it that the manuel doesn't talk about. 
please any suggestions would be much appricated

Which are you talking about... I never heard of the idle being a few degrees off, maybe a few hundred rpm off, but never in degrees...
If your talking about the your timming and dist., might have to start taking off whatever is in the way, so you can get too it better.
